Carlos earned his Literary Journalism degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2009. He then leveraged his excellent reading and writing skills into law school, graduating from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2014.
After receiving his juris doctorate, Carlos worked in immigration and then transitioned into family law, working for a boutique law firm from 2015 through 2025. During this time Carlos worked and continues to work exclusively in family law cases, handling dissolutions of marriages, paternity actions, post-judgment actions, drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and more legally complex cases involving interpretation and enforcement of international agreements. Carlos is dedicated to providing excellent representation while remaining frank and honest with his clients.
Recently, Carlos was appointed as a Guardian ad Litem for the first time in his career and has worked diligently to advocate for the child caught between parents in a divorce action. He intends to continue his role as a Guardian ad Litem, helping children and families navigate one of the most difficult times in their lives while keeping the children’s best interests in the forefront.
Carlos is a dedicated husband to his wife and father to his two small girls. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and traveling domestically and internationally. On occasions when he has time to himself, he enjoys exercising, cooking, writing, and is an avid reader of fiction.
